In an effort to be more *environmentally conscious*, we hope to reduce our plastic waste this year at our Paskuhan celebration. To that effort, we have decided to significantly reduce providing water in disposable water bottles, and will opt to use a refillable water dispenser.
We hope you will contribute to this effort and opt to bring your own reusable cup/canteen/mug/etc. We expect around 100 people this year, and if everyone gets a new cup or water bottle for a drink at least 2-3 times throughout the party (because of course we don’t know which one is ours because they all look the same), that’s around 300 plastic cups/plastic bottles that will go into the trash that maybe isn’t necessary (since most plastic sent for recycling just ends up in the landfills due to cost inefficiency of the recycling processes.)
So please consider bringing your own reusable cup, canteen, bottle or mug to the party for your use. Best thing about this— you will always know which cup is yours!! Also, as an incentive, let’s just say YOU MAY BENEFIT BY BRINGING YOUR OWN REUSABLE CUP…. you'll find out at the party!
SO GO PUT YOUR CUPS IN YOUR CARS RIGHT NOW, SO YOU DON’T FORGET THEM ON CHRISTMAS DAY!! I recommend bringing something that can also hold hot liquids, in case you want to drink coffee or tea later on as it gets cold through the night. And if you want to be extra snazzy, you can spread your Christmas cheer by bring that Christmas themed cup or mug that only gets a few uses this time of year!!!!
